Discover the Most Romantic Spots in Newport Beach

Valentine's Day is less than two weeks away and if you're like me at all, you likely haven't planned or booked anything yet. I've never been too into this holiday but I'm sure we all could use an excuse to celebrate something. I decided I'd put together a list of the my favorite restaurants here in Newport Beach that would make the perfect dinner spot. Whether you want something more casual and low-key or you want to get dressed up and experience something a little more upscale, there's something everyone will enjoy. I'll probably end up staying in and having pizza in my sweats but this was fun to put together all my favorites in one place for the next time I do go out!

Louie's By The Bay

One of my families favorites restaurants has to be Louie's By The Bay. It's the right amount of cozy with waterfront views and quality food that's consistently good. Described as a modern Italian steakhouse, the pasta, pizza, steak, chicken and salads never disappoint.

Cannery

The Cannery is a longtime newport establishment that you can guarantee will have a crowded bar come Friday happy hour time. Amazing seafood, sushi, burgers and fries. Whether you sit in the restaurant downstairs or opt for the bar upstairs the Cannery is always a go to for a good time and meal.

Rothschild's

Although Rothschild's has been here as long as I can remember we only started going during Covid as it was one of the few places that stayed open. Now it has become a staple for celebratory dinners or just a random Saturday night. The food and drinks are amazing. Highly recommend the salmon piccata and side pasta (can order chicken piccata off menu).

Arc Butcher & Baker

Arc Butcher & Baker is also a favorite of mine on Balboa Peninsula. If the weather is warm their outdoor patio is the perfect spot to relax for a leisurely brunch or dinner. Their menu is large and full of many different options and everything I've tried is good. Love the veggie pizza, tacos adn chopped salad. Really haven't had a bad meal here.

Farmhouse

Farmhouse is probably the most aesthetically pleasing restaurant we have in Newport. Attached to Roger's Gardens Nursery, Farmhouse, is a beautiful outdoor farm to table style restaurant. Amazing on nights with warm evening s but even in the cooler months they provide you with blankets and heater lamps. The food is fresh tasting and they have rotating seasonal cocktails.

Five Crowns

Five Crowns in CdM is always fun for Holidays or when you are celebrating something special. I've grown up going there each year around Christmas time.

"Five Crowns is a charming replica of one of England's oldest country inns and a Corona del Mar landmark steakhouse."

Experience warm hospitality and cozy fireplaces set among authentic antiques and period paintings. Enjoy the sunlit Greenhouse and colorful English garden as well."

Sidedoor

I couldn't mention Five Crowns and leave out SideDoor. SideDoor at Five Crowns is the bar restaurant connected to the main restaurant. My personal favorite. I went here a couple months ago and were lucky enough to be sat in one of the tables right by the fireplace. Cozy and comfort food best describe this place.

21 Oceanfront

21 Oceanfront is a romantic oceanfront restaurant down by the Peninsula.

A Restaurant

A Restaurant is another classic Newport Beach restaurant you need to try at least once. The cozy ambiance created by the leather booths and gentle lighting combines seamlessly with the lively crowd and energetic atmosphere. Steak, burgers, spic yellowfin tuna are all not to be missed. Additionally, don't miss the opportunity to explore the market conveniently located next to the restaurant open during the day.
