Napa for Thanksgiving

Napa for Thanksgiving

(Macarthur Place Hotel)

This year it was just going to be me, my sister, mom and grandma for Thanksgiving so we decided to go away. We've never done a trip just us girls before and decided we wanted to go somewhere with a bit more of a fall-like feeling than we get here in Newport Beach. We decided on Napa! If you've never been to Napa in the fall I suggest you plan a trip for next year. The colors in the vineyards are vibrant and beautiful with less crowds than the summertime sees. While we were there we decided to check out as many hotels and restaurants as we could and I wanted to provide you with our honest opinions and tips for each place we went to. You'll really love any itinerary you plan as the scenic drives and charming towns you come across along the way will truly make for an unforgettable trip.

We had the best drinks at Acacia House which is also where we spent our Thanksgiving dinner. It is a part of the Alila Napa Valley Hotel.

In our opinion Auberge Du Soleil is a must see when you are in Napa. The views are incredible! Make sure you sit on the balcony of the bar side restaurant and order the pizza.

Another place we highly recommend checking out is the RH Restaurant in Yountville. It's gorgeous and the food was really, really good. We had the burrata and peppers, caesar salad and the burger and loved it all.

Bottega was definitely a favorite we discovered on this trip. This cozy Italian restaurant is located on The Estate Yountville. We had drinks and dinner here and loved everything. We plan to come back here next time!

Layla Restaurant at MacArthur Place in Sonoma. We didn't eat here but heard it is good and hotel is very cute.

Bouchon Bakery and Bouchon Bistro in Yountville are both apart of the Thomas Keller Restaurant Group. The bakery always has a line but it tends to move pretty quickly. We loved the croissant and cookie but weren't huge fans of the macarons even though they are known for them.

We stopped for lunch at the The Girl & The Fig in Sonoma and everything we had was incredible. Must try the milk & cookies, they were maybe the best I've ever tasted.

Solage is another Auberge Hotel in Calistoga. If you were staying here you would never feel the need to leave, the restaurant and bar are cozy and they have bikes out front for you to ride around Napa!
