Our most loved post of 2023 was this beautiful home in Easton, Maryland and it is easy to see why! Designed by Jess Weeth of Weeth Home, this 18th century estate is located on 40 acres of land on a tributary of Chesapeake Bay. Their main focus when designing was to honor the original quality and enhance its exiting features. The family who owns the home hired esteemed architect Charles Goebel. Goebel made sure to provide them with a well-planned layout that ensured a seamless flow throughout the home while keeping with the original style of the estate. The results are breathtaking and only made more picturesque by the tree lined drive leading up to the property.

When Weeth walked through the property during the early stages, she contemplated the lighting plan and was overcome with ideas. She made note of where her gaze landed as she moved through each room. When selecting the lighting fixtures she made sure to select ones that aptly captured the home's blend of historical charm and contemporary living. Some of her most cherished moments throughout the home were the lighting vignettes created in the hallways due to the raised-panel wainscoting and thick original casings. In order to stick with the weathered and collected aesthetic of the home Weeth said, "For this project, it was all about the mix of aged brass, aged iron, and oil-rubbed bronze".
