A Long Weekend in Park City
Park City, Utah has become my favorite destination for Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend. Last year, I had the most amazing long weekend with my mom and sister, where we spent the weekend shopping, dining, discovering cozy lodges and maybe one too many afternoons at the No-Name Saloon. Surprisingly, we didn't even hit the slopes, yet all had the best time simply spending a few days in the snow.
However, this year was an entirely different story as I planed a last minute ski trip with my boyfriend. We originally had a road trip up the California Coast planned but the rain put a wrench in that plan. Tuesday afternoon we decided to book flights to Utah for that Friday. We bought our flights on Breeze airways which were surprisingly inexpensive and flew into Provo airport which I would do again as it was so small and easy. It had been nearly two decades since I last skied, and let me tell you, I instantly remembered what I had been missing out on all these years! The fresh snow might have helped as well. We skied both Park City and Canyons which were really fun and hope to ski Deer Valley the next time we visit!
So, if you ever find yourself in Park City, whether you ski/snowboard or simply enjoy the après ski life, there will be plenty for you to do. Make sure to explore the charming shops and restaurants along Main Street and of course, don't miss out on the incredible slopes and après ski scene at both Park City and Deer Valley Resort.
Below I've listed some of my favorite recommendations so you can plan your dream trip to Park City and experience it for yourself!
